Biographies
Polly Moore, Director
Polly Moore attended Westminster Choir College and Ocean County College, and received her Bachelor's Degree from Georgian Court College.  She has directed church choirs in the area since 1973 and also directed the Pleasant Gardens Chorale for four years. She has sung with the New Jersey Chamber Singers since their inception in 1978.  She is currently the Music Director at Christ Church in Toms River, Choral Director at Harrogate Assisted Living in Lakewood and teaches voice in the Ocean County Area.  She has directed the Island Singers since 1986.

Bernice Kephart, Accompanist
Bernice Kephart joined the group in 2013. Ms. Kephart studied piano in New York and won the Griffith Music Foundation's Young Artist Auditions.  She was the accompanist and assistant choral director of the Garden State Philharmonic Chorus for 27 years and has performed with the Orchestra.  Ms. Kephart is the music director and organist for the Church of St. Pio in Lavallette, New Jersey.  She is an Associate Dean of the Ocean County American Guild of Organists and is the Ocean County representative for the Trenton Chapter of the National Pastoral Musicians.  She has completed several conducting courses at Westminster Choir College.

The Island Singers, an Ocean County community chorus, was founded in 1972 for the purpose of presenting quality choral concerts of secular and sacred music to New Jersey audiences.  Members come from a 30 mile radius of all age groups and walks of life.
